This part of the CyberWire interviews talks about the risk that overwork developers bring.
- Software are written by humans. Suppose if you overwork the developers, they will lose their focus which will bring both security and product risk. And if we think about it, if we are building some form of transportation or medical software if it fails, there could be death consequences.
One of the interesting points highlighted inside is that it’s recommended not to have developers work more than 11 hours continuously. On this part I think that it’s hard to change, at least in the culture perspective. In SEA, I do not think that business give the development team enough respect and treating them like resources.
