I think I like to travel light because It helps me to get though the custom faster. However, each time when I travel I tend to overpack. The ideal situation is usually different from the reality.
In this very trip to Shanghai CES, I made an effort to travel light and to put my words into action, I became an onebagger. What is an onebagger? A person who travel light, having on him the essentials and has only a single bag. You can alway argue how big this one bag can be, you also have a 80 litre one bag but that would make it less portable, I guess.
This trip, I have only a bag with me. If I’m not wrong, this bag is 23 litre and can be use for a carry on. There are the list of stuff:
- 2 tops
- 3 shirts for business meeting
- 1 long pants (wearing it at the moment)
- 1 shorts
- 3 pair of socks
- 1 casual business jacket (wearing it too)
- bathroom accessories
- MacBook Air
- Charging cables for laptop & phone
This is a one week trip, to the seasoned onebagger this may seems like a lot. I’m still learning and I hope one day I can go on a one month trip with just one bag. For those who are interested in becoming a onebagger > check out the subreddit /r/onebag
