  2. Adobe: Adobe’s photo editing software Lightroom is now available on the iPad! The iPad client will require the latest version of Lightroom 5 for Mac or PC as well as an active subscription to Adobe’s Creative Cloud service.
  3. Apple:For all Apple Fans, this is a good read. 9to5mac wrote an amazing piece on “Everything to know about iOS 8 and OS X 10.10”. Although the article was mostly leaks and rumours, you will still get a good feel of what the tech giant is up to.
  4. Bitcoins: A Dutch regulator does not see Bitcoin as a form of money. On the other hand, he or she sees it as more of a technology that is useful for specific transactions. Interesting note: The regulator admitted that banks need to start getting used to bitcoin.
  5. China: Microsoft may be looking to partner MediaTek to push its Windows powered tablets in the Chinese market by eyeing white-box tablet manufacturers. But whose chip is the Surface RT using? MediaTek’s competitor, Qualcomm.
  6. Foxconn: Taiwan-based Foxconn, the world’s largest contract manufacturer of consumer electronics especially for Apple’s product is looking to become a content company to diversify its operations. They are looking to buy China Network Systems, which has about 20% of Taiwan’s cable TV market, for $2B.
  7. Google: The registration for the 2nd largest tech event of the year – Google I/O will be delayed for a week.
  8. HTC: HTC made a loss of $62.06M during Q1 of 2014.
  9. Microsoft: Today, Microsoft will end its support for Windows XP. The OS has been around for 13 years and in my opinion it is still one of the most reliable OS around. Security analysts are expecting to see a lot of attacks for Windows XP within the next few months.
  10. Samsung: Here’s another watch from Samsung, the Samsung Gear Solo. It is expected to come with a SIM card slot and does not require the user to link it with a smartphone. A full-fledged smartwatch indeed.
