American International Group, Inc. Investment Groups Make Cut Price Bids For American International Group, Inc. Aircraft Unit-DJ
Dow Jones reported that American International Group, Inc. has received bids from three investment groups to acquire its International Lease Finance Corp. unit, the Financial Times reported on its Web site, citing unnamed people close to the situation. The bids, for less than $5 billion, came from consortia led by Thomas H. Lee Partners and Carlyle Group, and Onex and Greenbriar Equity Group, the Web site reported the people as saying. The identity of the third bidder isn’t known. Negotiations are likely to continue for several weeks before American International Group, Inc. forwards the winning bid to the New York Federal Reserve and U.S. Treasury, the FT reported.
