The Manx Missile sprints to victory in front of home fans a week before he won the world road race title. Seeing him sprinting at the end of a stage is one of my favourite sights in sport. A late summer deluge meant the road was covered with water but the dangerous conditions did not deter him. He manages to create amazing power standing on his pedals but still be very aerodynamic.
